A flood warning for Westlands Drain at Hedon remains in force as river levels have risen following recent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low-lying property, roads, and farmland remains possible in the vicinity of Westlands Drain. Areas most at risk are properties along Cloeberry Way. Risks to property have reduced as pumps are operating in the area to reduce water levels. Levels will rise again during the period of the next high tide which will delay drainage of the drains. We do not expect levels to be as high as those on Wednesday morning. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. A flood warning has been issued for Westlands Drain at Hedon as river levels are rising following recent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low-lying property, roads, and farmland remains possible in the vicinity of Westlands Drain. Areas most at risk are properties along Cloeberry Way. The level of Westlands Drain is currently 1.85m and rising. Pumps are operating in the area to reduce water levels. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. There is potential for property flooding, with areas particularly at risk being those on Cloeberry Way. Levels are not expected to rise as high tonight as they were on Thursday but levels will remain high at the weekend. The flood warning for Westlands Drain at Hedon remains in force. The water level in Westlands Drain at Hedon is rising due to recent persistent rainfall being unable to drain due to high tides. There is potential for property flooding, with areas particularly at risk being those on Cloeberry Way. We expect levels to drop later this morning, Friday 15/01/2021, but they will rise again with the tides later this evening. Further wet weather is forecast for Saturday, and as the ground is already saturated, it is likely that levels will remain high throughout the weekend. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and river levels, and our operations teams have pumps running on Westlands Drain and at Salt End on Burstwick Drain to reduce water levels. This flood warning has been issued due to high water levels in Westlands Drain at Hedon. The water level in Westlands at Hedon is rising due to the incoming tide and the persistent rainfall that has taken place over the last 3 days. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and river levels closely. Our operations staff are also operating pumps and defences in the area. Burstwick Drain, Westlands Drain
This warning has been issued as a result of rising river levels on Burstwick and Westlands Drains.  Levels are rising as a result of persistent heavy rain over the last few days. Westlands Drain at Hedon is currently at 1.7 m and rising.  It is likely to rise to 2m by 3 or 4 am on Saturday morning 21/12/19. By mid morning on Saturday river levels should start to fall as the falling tide will enable Burstwick drain to discharge into the Humber. River levels may remain above normal into the weekend.  Areas most at risk are properties along Cloeberry Way.   Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and river levels.
